Job summary

New Narrative seeks a Residential Support Specialist for an overnight shift (Thu-Sun, 10:00 PM–8:00 AM) in Portland, OR. The RSS collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to support residents toward goals, focusing on daily living, life skills, and therapeutic activities.

Responsibilities include crisis support, medication management adherence, and facilitating group activities, while maintaining a safe, clean home environment and complying with Oregon rules.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be able to administer CPR and Naloxone (Narcan).
• Must be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage with residents to support movement toward goals and transition planning.
• Support daily living activities and promote autonomy.
• Provide habilitative services and life skills training.
• Assist in medication management and monitoring.
• Lead group activities and community engagement.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness of the living environment.
• Participate in Team Based Care and attend staff meetings.
