Job summary

New Narrative in Portland, OR is hiring a Residential Support Specialist for a Friday–Tuesday swing shift 3:00pm–11:00pm. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to help residents progress toward personal goals, build life skills, and maintain a safe home environment.

The role requires a high school diploma, CPR/Naloxone capability or training, and comfort with independent work. QMHA credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR and Naloxone administration where trained or certified.
• Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong patient-centered and safety-focused approach.
• Experience supporting daily living activities and life skills.

Responsibilities

• Actively engage residents to support movement toward goals using strength-based approaches.
• Assist with activities of daily living and instrumental tasks (appointments, household tasks, hygiene, safety).
• Support medication management and monitor changes in residents’ conditions.
• Document shift notes, engagement notes, and incident reports accurately.
• Participate in team meetings and community activities to promote well-being.
