Job summary

Auburn University Libraries is seeking applicants for the position of Student Assistant Desk Supervisor to provide customer service support at the Circulation Desk and Mell Classroom Information Desk. This role assists faculty, staff, and students while contributing to the daily operations of the unit.

Student assistants may work up to 20 hours per week with a non-traditional schedule and report to the Night Supervisor within the Circulation Unit.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a student at Auburn University.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to multitask and provide reliable customer service in a library setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist library patrons at the Circulation Desk and Mell Classroom Information Desk.
• Answer questions in person or by phone and maintain a safe environment in coordination with security.
• Check materials in and out, return items to shelves, and assist with printing/scanning needs.
