Wonder is hiring a Shift Supervisor to oversee our kitchen operations in West Hartford, ensuring top-notch food quality and service for customers. The role covers opening, prep, and closing duties, with overnight shifts earning a $2.00/hour premium and overall pay of $21.50 per hour.

The position supports both full-time and part-time schedules, with diverse responsibilities across front- and back-of-house teamwork, inventory, safety, and cost control.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience supervising and/or leading team members in a QSR or full-service restaurant.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a strong drive for efficiency and accuracy.
• Demonstrates professionalism and adheres to policies and procedures.
• Must be able to exhibit effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Lead the restaurant team members in all aspects of service, including opening, prep, and closing duties.
• Collaborate with chef leadership and other departments to ensure guests receive high-quality service.
• Receive and process kitchen orders and deliveries per company protocol.
• Maintain communication to ensure sufficient stock and assist with supplies and ordering.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices across back-of-house areas.
• Monitor kitchen operating costs and adhere to budget guidelines.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is used safely and is in working order.
• Conduct briefings with front- and back-of-house staff pre- and post-service.
• Meet operating and quality standards; present a professional leadership style.
• Participate in training, coaching, and development for restaurant employees.
