Harvard University Central Administration is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Operations technician at Harvard Medical School in Cambridge. You will provide responsive customer support and operate and maintain HVAC systems and other building services.

Qualifications

• HVAC field experience or trade/vocational training at least two years.
• Valid State driver’s license and satisfactory driving history.
• Ability to read and interpret basic plans, specifications and manuals.
• Commitment to safety codes and professional image.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive customer support in building maintenance operations.
• Inspect and test HVAC equipment and other building systems per direction.
• Report deficiencies to supervisors and assist in corrective actions.
• Assist licensed tradespersons in installation, repair and operation of equipment.
• Collect data to update preventive maintenance records and logs.
• Identify and label equipment per preventive maintenance plans.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on primary building equipment.
• Maintain clean work areas and tools; assist customers with progress updates.
• Wear department-issued uniform and proper safety clothing at all times.
• May work independently or as part of a multi-trade team under supervision.
