Job summary

Harvard University Central Administration is seeking a Facilities Maintenance technician to support building operations at Harvard Medical School. The role includes HVAC inspection, preventive maintenance, and assisting licensed trades in repairs while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Must have 2+ years HVAC experience, a valid driver’s license, and ability to read plans. Expect 40-hour weeks with on-site work and potential overtime during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years field experience with HVAC equipment.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC machinery and components.
• Must possess a valid State driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provides responsive customer support in building maintenance and operations.
• Inspects HVAC and primary building systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Assists licensed tradespersons in installation, repair and operation of equipment.
• Maintains preventive maintenance records and logs.
• Must supply a complete set of hand tools and follow safety protocols.
