Job summary

Harvard University is seeking a Facilities Maintenance professional to support HVAC and building systems at Harvard Medical School. You will perform preventive maintenance, assist licensed tradespeople, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Applicants should have two years of HVAC experience, be able to read basic plans, and possess a valid driver's license. Evening and overtime may be required, with strict safety standards and a professional on-site work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years field experience with HVAC equipment.
• Basic knowledge of heating, ventilation and air conditioning machinery and components.
• Must possess a valid State driver’s license and satisfactory driving history.

Responsibilities

• Provides responsive customer support in all phases of building maintenance and operations.
• Inspects and tests HVAC equipment and other building systems to ensure proper functioning.
• Reports deficiencies to supervisor to initiate corrective actions.
• Assists licensed tradespersons in installation, repair and operation of building equipment.
• Collects equipment data to update preventive maintenance records and logs.
• Identifies and labels equipment per preventive maintenance plans.
• Performs scheduled preventive maintenance routines on primary building equipment and keeps work areas clean.
• Communicates progress and status to customers.
