Job summary

Harvard University Central Administration is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician for Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA. The role focuses on HVAC/DDC system maintenance, installation, and repair with attention to safety and quality.

You will read mechanical prints, fabricate piping, and coordinate with the Area Supervisor. The position requires a current Refrigeration Technician license and a valid driver's license, with 40 hours/week 6:00 am–2:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in HVAC control systems installation, operation, maintenance, repair.
• Two+ years handling Siemens DDC control systems.
• Strong knowledge of airflow and indoor air quality issues.
• Current Refrigeration Technician license and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, service and repair HVAC control systems (pneumatic, electric, electronic, DDC).
• Install, modify and repair boilers, heating and cooling systems and related equipment.
• Fabricate and install piping/ducting; read and update mechanical prints.
• Provide responsive customer support and advise on maintenance solutions.
• Work independently or in a multi-trade team under supervision.
