Job summary

Provides excellent guest service and manages front office operations as Manager on Duty, ensuring policy compliance and smooth nightly/early morning shifts. Greet guests, upsell services, and balance cash and credit transactions.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch, reach.
• Must be able to push or pull 60 pounds unassisted.
• Must be able to see and hear.
• Must be able to communicate with other associates and/or guests.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register guests, provide room assignments, maintain guest privacy.
• Promote and sell services/amenities of the hotel.
• Promote repeat business by taking future reservations and offering recommendations.
• Identify sales leads during guest interactions and report to management.
• Inform housekeeping and other departments of special requests and late check-outs.
• Check all credit cards for validity before end of shift.
• Learn and utilize PMS.
• Balance all cash, checks, and departments at shift end.
• Maintain a clean lobby and dining area; assist with cleaning tasks.
• Know emergency procedures and safety standards.
• Report unusual occurrences to the manager.
• Maintain Market area stock/cleanliness.
• Follow vendor training if alcohol is served.
• Be flexible with work schedule; overnight shifts possible.
• Assist with laundry procedures and linen folding as needed.
• Assist in other departments such as laundry, housekeeping or F&B.
