Job summary

Loews Kansas City Hotel is seeking a Front Office Agent to greet guests and manage check-in/check-out with warmth and efficiency. You will balance professionalism with genuine hospitality in a fast-paced environment, handling payments, room assignments, and guest inquiries to ensure a memorable stay.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in guest service, familiarity with Opera PMS, and a team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

Minimum of one year guest service experience in hotel hospitality.
Experience with Property Management System (Opera preferred).
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to work weekends, evenings, holidays as required.

Responsibilities

Greet and register guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a seamless arrival experience.
Assign rooms that meet guest preferences and special requests.
Obtain and verify credit and payment information in accordance with hotel policies.
Promote hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
Maintain knowledge of upcoming events, group bookings, and banquet orders.
Perform check-out procedures and handle cash transactions accurately.
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Front Desk and lobby area.
Handle emergencies with professionalism, prioritizing guest and team member safety.
Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
