Job summary

Loews Kansas City Hotel invites applications for a Front Office Agent to welcome guests, check-in/out, and guide them to services, events, and local attractions. You will balance professionalism with warm hospitality in a fast-paced lobby, ensuring every guest feels valued.

You will greet guests, handle room assignments, process payments, and promote hotel amenities while maintaining front desk standards and safety. Strong communication helps you excel in this role.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one year guest service experience in hotel hospitality preferred.
  • Experience with Opera System preferred.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and register guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a seamless arrival experience.
  • Assign rooms that meet guest preferences and special requests.
  • Obtain and verify credit and payment information in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Promote hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain knowledge of upcoming events, group bookings, and banquet orders.
  • Perform check-out procedures and handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Front Desk and lobby area.
  • Handle emergencies with professionalism, prioritizing guest and team member safety.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
  • Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
