Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of front desk/guest service experience.
• Some college coursework is preferred but not required.
• Fluency in English is required; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner at the front desk.
• Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room locations; answer phones politely.
• Upsell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue.
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately and complete related reports and deposits.
• Prepare and transmit daily accounting reports; issue and manage guest safe-deposit boxes.
• Respond to guest complaints with appropriate service recovery actions.
• Coordinate with other departments and assist with guest reservations, tours, and special requests.
