Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Center in Windsor, CT is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Technician for the overnight shift. You will support hospital operations by delivering high-quality patient care, triage, diagnostics, anesthesia support, and thorough client communication.

The role offers a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience, and a chance to grow advanced ER/ICU skills within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of veterinary technician experience (ER preferred)
• Credentialed veterinary technician is preferred (CVT/LVT/RVT/LVMT)
• Strong phlebotomy, catheter placement, and nursing skills
• Comfort with fast-paced, emotionally charged situations

Responsibilities

• Triage and stabilize patients
• Place IV catheters, draw blood, run in-house diagnostics
• Monitor critical patients and assist with emergency procedures
• Administer medications, CRIs, and blood products
• Provide clear, compassionate updates to clients
• Help maintain a clean, safe ICU environment
