Job summary

New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Center in Windsor, CT is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Technician for 3rd shift overnight. The role supports hospital operations, triages and stabilizes patients, assists with surgery and diagnostics, and maintains patient records with a compassionate team.

A sign-on bonus up to $1,000 is available based on experience. Experience in ER preferred; CVT/LVT/RVT/LVMT credentials are favored.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of veterinary technician experience; ER preferred
• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or LVMT preferred
• Strong phlebotomy, catheter placement and nursing skills
• Comfort with fast-paced, emotionally charged situations
• Willingness to learn and grow with the team

Responsibilities

• Triage and stabilize patients
• Place IV catheters, draw blood, run in-house diagnostics
• Monitor critical patients and assist with emergency procedures
• Administer medications, CRIs, and blood products
• Provide clear, compassionate updates to clients
• Maintain a clean, safe, calm ICU environment
