Job summary

New England Veterinary Center & Cancer Center in Windsor, Connecticut, is seeking an Overnight ER/ICU Veterinary Technician to support hospital operations by delivering dedicated veterinary care and exceptional client service.

You will triage and stabilize patients, place IV catheters, draw blood, run in-house diagnostics, monitor critically ill cases, assist with surgery and emergencies, and maintain medical records.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of veterinary technician experience, ER preferred.
• Strong phlebotomy, catheter placement, and nursing skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, emotionally charged environments.
• Kindness, teamwork, and a steady, supportive presence.
• Experienced and/or credentialed technicians encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Triage and stabilize patients.
• Place IV catheters, draw blood, run in-house diagnostics.
• Monitor critical patients and assist with emergency procedures.
• Administer medications, CRIs, and blood products.
• Provide clear, compassionate updates to clients.
• Maintain a clean, safe ICU environment.
