Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You'll handle a wide range of cases, from minor to critical emergencies, collaborating with doctors to deliver gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care while triaging, treating, and monitoring patients.

Ideal candidates have AVMA-accredited training, CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credentials, and 1+ year of emergency or specialty experience; nights, weekends, and holidays may be required.

Qualifications

• Requires AVMA-accredited veterinary technology education.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in applicable state required; VTS a plus.
• 1+ years in veterinary tech, emergency or specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Treat and monitor patients from triage to discharge.
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care nursing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure smooth care flow.
• Communicate effectively with team and pet parents.
