Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join the front line of emergency care. You''ll handle a wide range of cases with our doctors, delivering gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care across triage, treatment, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring and critical care.

You''ll participate in CPR, advanced techniques, and collaborate to ensure seamless patient flow. Nights, weekends, and holidays are required on a rotating basis as hospital needs demand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of VEG location; VTS a plus.
• 1+ years of experience in veterinary technician roles; emergency or specialty care preferred.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of EMR and practice management software.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across emergency to critical care settings.
• Support triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and postoperative care.
• Administer medications, monitor patients, and assist with procedures.
• Communicate with team to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Perform CPR and assist with advanced life support as needed.
• Use diagnostics, imaging, sample collection and tube placement.
• Manage anesthesia for fragile patients and advanced techniques as needed.
