Job summary

VEG is seeking a Part-time Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will handle triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing alongside our doctors and VEGgies.

You should hold a AVMA-accredited veterinary tech program credential and state certification (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT). Prior emergency/critical care experience is preferred, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or higher preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in the practicing state is required; specialty credentials are a plus.
• 1+ year of emergency or specialty veterinary technician experience preferred.
• Comfort with fast-paced ER environment and ability to lift up to 25 kg.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia and monitoring.
• Deliver compassionate support to pet parents and collaborate with doctors and team.
• Assist with CPR, procedures, imaging and sample collection as needed.
• Maintain clear communication to keep care flowing and plans on track.
