Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician for overnight shifts in Encinitas, CA. You will work on the front lines of veterinary emergencies, providing compassionate nursing care and supporting doctors through triage, treatments, anesthesia, and monitoring.

Ideal candidates are credentialed in California, with 1+ year of experience, and a calm, collaborative approach. VEG offers robust learning, mentorship, and a fast-paced ER environment.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician in CA required.
• 1+ year experience in vet tech; ER experience preferred.
• Strong communication and ability to work under pressure.
• Able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods.
• Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care from triage to discharge for emergency cases.
• Assist with diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care.
• Administer meds, IVs, CRIs, and transfusions as needed.
• Communicate with team to keep care flowing smoothly.
• Perform CPR and use imaging, sampling, and tubing as required.
