Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) in Encinitas, CA is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced ER team. You will provide frontline nursing care, assist in anesthesia, diagnostics, and critical care, and support pet parents through high-stress moments.

You’ll work with doctors and a collaborative team in a modern, open-concept ER. You must be credentialed (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state and have at least 1 year of veterinary tech experience, with emergency or

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher in AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state of the VEG practice is required; VTS in ECC/ internal medicine/ anesthesia a plus.
• 1+ year of experience as a veterinary technician; emergency or specialty medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line emergency nursing care from triage to discharge.
• Assist with anesthesia, monitoring, diagnostics, and treatments.
• Perform IVs, CRIs, blood products, sample collection, and imaging support.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to ensure compassionate, efficient care.
• Communicate clearly with team and pet parents during stressful moments.
