Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group in Santa Monica, CA is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician for overnights. You will join a fast-paced ER team delivering high-quality care to small animals, including triage, anesthesia, diagnostics, and critical care nursing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher preferred
• Credentialed veterinary technician in CA; VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia a plus
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency experience preferred
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity
• Excellent communicator, calm under pressure, able to lift up to 25 kg

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and emotional support from triage to discharge
• Assist with anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing
• Handle diagnostics, IVs/CRIs, blood transfusions and treatments
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain care flow
• Perform CPR and manage emergencies as needed
• Operate diagnostics, imaging, sample collection and tube placement
• Utilize advanced techniques like central lines, endoscopy, ultrasounds
