Job summary

Monarch Healthcare is seeking a PRN Direct Care Worker in North Carolina to support individuals with mental health needs, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders. Sleepover at a residential setting is required, with shift coverage on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities include assessing personal goals, promoting community integration, and ensuring rights advocacy. Requires a high school diploma and valid NC driver’s license; experience is not required but caring for others is

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Driver's License (USA)
• Experience working with people with mental health diagnoses or developmental disabilities or substance use disorders is not required

Responsibilities

• Assess individuals for hopes and goals and help them achieve them.
• Support relationship-building with community and natural supports.
• Help individuals participate in the community according to their interests.
• Protect and promote the rights of individuals and support advocacy efforts.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed.
• Foster person-centered, positive relationships and self-determination.
• Contribute to assessment, planning, and implementing the individual plan with documentation.
• Complete daily progress notes and keep a communication log.
