Job summary

Monarch NC is seeking a caring Direct Support Professional for sleepover shifts in Charlotte. You will assess individual goals, support community participation, and promote self-determination while ensuring safety and dignity for each person served.

You will maintain documentation, attend trainings, and collaborate with the team to implement person-centered plans. This role requires a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Valid Driver's License (USA) required.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health diagnoses or IDD or substance use disorders preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess each person receiving services for hopes, dreams, and desires and provide supports to facilitate achievement.
• Support people in developing relationships in their community and with natural supports.
• Assist participation in community activities aligned with the person’s interests.
• Protect and promote the rights of people receiving services and support advocacy efforts.
• Provide emotional, physical, and medical support as needed and document as required.
