Job summary

The Burton Center for Disabilities and Special Needs in Ware Shoals, SC is seeking a part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) for overnight shifts (7:45 pm–7:45 am) in the Community Training Home program. You will provide direct care to adults with disabilities, using person-centered support to promote independence and community engagement.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily living tasks, hygiene, meals, and safety; following behavioral support plans; recording progress in Therap;

Qualifications

• SC Driver's License.
• Ability to lift or maneuver up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Adaptive, a team player, and advocate for others.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered direct support to up to 4 adults with disabilities.
• Assist with hygiene, meals, medications, and light housework.
• Record progress in Therap and follow behavioral support plans.
• Training may include driving vehicles and Basic Life Support/MedTech certifications.
