Job summary

Burton Center is looking for a part-time, on-call Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our dynamic team in Ware Shoals and Due West, SC. DSPs support adults with disabilities through coaching, training, and hands-on care to promote independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• SC Driver’s License is required.
• Ability to lift or maneuver up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Adaptable, a team player, and advocate for others.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to adults with disabilities in Day and Residential programs.
• Implement person-centered training programs and encourage independence.
• Assist with toileting, changing incontinence briefs, bathing, and feeding as needed.
• Prepare light meals from plan and follow behavioral support plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment and complete progress reports in Therapist.
• Drive Burton Center vehicles and operate wheelchair lifts after training.
• Provide Basic Life Support and MedTech certifications.
