Job summary

Burton Center for Disabilities and Special Needs is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) for a 32-hour weekly schedule on the third shift in Ware Shoals, SC. The role provides hands-on care, coaching, and community supports to adults with disabilities through the Community Training Home program.

You will assist with daily living, toileting, bathing, medication administration, and documentation in Therap, operate wheelchair lifts, and pursue Basic Life Support and MedTech

Qualifications

• SC Driver's License is required.
• Ability to lift or maneuver up to 50lbs.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
• Be adaptable, a team player, and advocate for others.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to up to 4 adults with disabilities in a Community Training Home.
• Implement person-centered training, encourage independence and community engagement.
• Perform toileting, bathing, medication administration, and feeding assistance as needed.
• Use Therap to track objectives and complete progress reports; drive Burton Center vehicles when trained.
• Obtain Basic Life Support and MedTech certifications; participate in on-the-job training.
