Job summary

Covenant House New York is seeking a Direct Service Manager to lead Resident Advisors across Manhattan and The Bronx residential programs. You will supervise staff, support youth through trauma-informed care, and ensure policies are followed while promoting an energized culture.

You'll collaborate with the Program Coordinator and Senior Director of Shelter, develop staff through ongoing training, and coordinate with partners to maximize positive outcomes for the youth we serve.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field, or successful experience in a related field.
• Experience working with diverse groups is required.
• Experience working with young people, particularly those experiencing homelessness, is preferred.
• Experience utilizing data dashboards and metrics to improve staff performance and client outcomes preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational abilities, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and supervise Resident Advisors and oversee day-to-day program operations.
• Lead staff onboarding, training, and performance reviews.
• Ensure safety, crisis response, and de-escalation as needed.
• Maintain progress on program contracts and grants.
• Collaborate with Program Coordinator and Senior Director to foster an energized culture and positive youth outcomes.
