Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking an in-home overnight Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for an awake 11pm–7am shift, with additional hours possible. Wages start at $18/hour, or $20/hour if CNA certified. Eligible after 5 months for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy.

Part-time and full-time hours are available based on your availability. You will help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes, with responsibilities spanning daily living activities and companionship.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Provide hands-on personal cares including dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Perform light housekeeping: bathrooms, living areas, kitchens, laundry, etc.
• Plan and prepare meals and snacks.
• Offer companionship and meaningful conversation.
• Support mobility and use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assist with medications and reminders.
• Provide dementia/Alzheimer’s care as needed.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as required.
• Document shift details and care provided electronically.

About the Job

• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.
