Job summary

Comfort Keepers is hiring a part-time CNA/Caregiver in the Annandale area. Wage starts at $18/hour; Certified Nursing Assistants earn $20/hour. Eligibility for free CNA classes after 5 months of employment.

Part-time and full-time hours available based on your availability. As an in-home caregiver, you will help clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Tasks include activities of daily living, personal care, light housekeeping, meal prep, companionship, mobility

Qualifications

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation with clean driving record and 3 years driving experience.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence and professional boundaries required.

Responsibilities

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living.
• Personal care including dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping (bathrooms, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, laundry).
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Companionship and conversation.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Mobility assistance with transfer tools/equipment.
• Medication assistance.
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Report to Client Care Coordinator.
• Document shifts and cares electronically.

About The Job

As an in-home caregiver, you will clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living
• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc
• Meal planning, cooking and baking
• Conversation and companionship
• Interactive Caregiving
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment
• Assistance with medication
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.

Comfort Keepers Requirements

• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving
• DHS and driving record background clearance
