Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Annandale, MN is seeking a part-time CNA/Caregiver to help clients stay safe and independent in their own homes. Wage starts at $18/hr, with $20/hr for CNAs, and free CNA classes after 5 months via Scrubs Academy.

Responsibilities include ADL support, light housekeeping, meal planning, mobility assistance, medication help, dementia care, and shift documentation. Weekend and holiday availability required.

Qualifications

• Experience in caregiving or home care.
• Must be available every other weekend and holidays.
• 21+ years old and eligible to work in the U.S.
• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living.
• Provide personal care including dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping in client home (bathroom, living areas, kitchen, laundry).
• Meal planning, cooking, and nutrition support.
• Offer companionship and social engagement.
• Assist with mobility and use of transfer tools/equipment as needed.
• Assist with medications as directed.
• Provide dementia or Alzheimer’s care.

Wage begins at $18 an hour unless Certified Nursing Assistant then $20 an hour. Eligible after 5 months of employment for free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy. Part time and full-time hours available depending on your availability.

About the Job

As an in-home caregiver, you will clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living.
• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer's care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.

Comfort Keepers Requirements

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.
