Job summary

Comfort Keepers in Minnesota is hiring an in-home, overnight CNA to cover an awake 11pm to 7am shift, with additional hours possible.

The wage starts at $18/hour unless you are a Certified Nursing Assistant, then $20/hour. After 5 months of employment, you may enroll in free CNA classes with Scrubs Academy. Part-time and full-time hours are available based on your needs.

Qualifications

• In-home caregiving experience required.
• Must be available every other weekend and holidays.
• 21+ years old with HS Diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living and mobility.
• Light housekeeping and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and safety in client homes.
• Documentation of shift and care provided.

About the Job

As an in-home caregiver, you will clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Responsibilities may include:

• Assistance with Activities of Daily Living.
• Hands-on personal cares may include assistance with dressing, grooming, incontinence, and hygiene.
• Light housekeeping includes cleaning bathroom, living areas, kitchens, dusting, mopping, linen change, vacuuming, laundry, garbage etc.
• Meal planning, cooking and baking.
• Conversation and companionship.
• Interactive Caregiving.
• Assistance with mobility that may include use of transfer tools/equipment.
• Assistance with medication.
• Dementia or Alzheimer’s care.
• Communicate with Client Care Coordinator as needed.
• Provide proper electronic documentation of shift as well as cares.

Comfort Keepers Requirements

• Experience in a caregiving role.
• Must be available every other weekend and holiday.
• 21 years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Own reliable transportation, clean driving record, 3 years driving experience.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance and comfortable driving.
• DHS and driving record background clearance.
• Customer Service Excellence, Professional Boundaries required.
