Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Floyd County, GA is seeking a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver to support seniors at home with daily living activities and companionship. The role offers flexible scheduling, 1:1 client care, and opportunities to grow through online training and CEUs.

You will assist with bathing, dressing, meal prep, mobility, and medication reminders, while maintaining safety and dignity. A GA driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification are preferred; Interim helps with GA certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Personal Care Assistant certificate in GA or eligibility.
• CPR and First Aid training current.
• TB screening within 12 months.
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and provide compassionate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support to seniors at home.
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders and document condition; notify supervisor of concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and Personal Care Assistant Certificate in GA (Interim can assist with certification)
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current hands-on CPR and First Aid training certification and current TB screening within 12 months
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and personal transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
