Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver in Paulding County, GA, to provide in-home support with a focus on safety, companionship, and daily living activities. You’ll assist with bathing, dressing, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation and medication reminders, while maintaining a 1:1 client ratio and flexible scheduling that fits your life.

A high school diploma and GA PCA certification are preferred, with Interim assisting toward certification; CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and PCA certificate in GA (Interim can assist with certification)
• One year of healthcare experience preferred
• Current CPR/First Aid certification and TB screen within 12 months
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and own transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator, lifts up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and support so seniors can live safely at home
• Assist with activities of daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meals, shopping, transportation and companionship
• Assist with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises
• Provide medication reminders and document client condition for supervisor
• Keep a safe home environment with clear pathways
• Engage clients in activities like puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and Personal Care Assistant Certificate in GA (Interim can assist with certification)
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current hands-on CPR/First Aid certification and a current TB screening within 12 months
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and personal transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
