Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Personal Care Aide (PCA)/Caregiver in Floyd County, GA to provide in-home support and companionship. You can design your career around your life with flexible scheduling and one-on-one client care.

The role includes assisting with daily living activities, medication reminders, and creating a safe, engaging home environment. Certification can be supported by Interim, with training and CEUs offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Personal Care Assistant certificate in GA (Interim can assist with certification).
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home.
• Assist with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, transportation and companionship.
• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises.
• Provide medication reminders, document condition and notify supervisor of concerns.
• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways.
• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies.

As a Personal Care Aide/Caregiver, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

A few must-haves for Personal Care Aides/Caregivers:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and Personal Care Assistant Certificate in GA (Interim can assist with certification)
• One (1) year of experience in a healthcare role, preferred
• Current hands-on CPR and First Aid training certification and current TB screening within 12 months
• Valid GA driver’s license, auto insurance and personal transportation
• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
