Job summary

Switchpoint is seeking a part-time Behavioral Tech to support residents during their stay, including grave shift coverage from 11 pm to 7 am and weekends. The role emphasizes maintaining a safe, respectful environment, documenting incidents, and assisting residents with class or event participation as directed by management.

Responsibilities include logging daily activities, addressing special needs, coordinating with maintenance, and upholding the organization’s mission and values.

Qualifications

• Customer service oriented with residents.
• Ability to de-escalate and manage tense situations.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Experience working with people experiencing homelessness.

Responsibilities

• Understand and uphold Switchpoint’s mission and policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents.
• Maintain daily log of occurrences on each shift.
• Note special needs or accommodations (diet, ADA) and coordinate with management.
• Update maintenance log and liaise with maintenance staff.
• Listen to residents and respond appropriately.
• Record and report monetary funds and petty cash daily.
• Report concerns to Director/Manager and leadership.
• Demonstrate a passion for service to residents and community.
• Perform laundry and basic cleaning tasks.
• Monitor security cameras and log activity.
• Conduct perimeter checks for safety and security; document concerns.
• Handle security issues by contacting dispatch or 911 when needed.
• May lift up to 50 lbs.
• Other duties as assigned.
