The Barnett, a restored Art Deco hotel in the New Orleans Warehouse District, is seeking a detail-oriented Night Auditor for overnight, part-time shifts. You will complete end-of-day financial reconciliations, prepare reports, and provide exceptional guest service during quiet hours.

Prior front desk or night audit experience and familiarity with Opera Cloud are preferred. Ideal candidates are dependable, organized, and able to work independently while balancing nightly financial duties with

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Previous hotel front desk, night audit, or accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with Opera Cloud preferred.
• Previous Hyatt experience preferred.
• Experience with financial reconciliation, cash handling, or daily reporting is a plus.
• Skills: Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation procedures.
• Attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Dependable, punctual, and good time management.
• Excellent guest service and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and adaptability.
• Ability to balance multiple tasks during busy periods.
• Willingness to learn new technology and navigate multiple systems.
• Remain calm and professional with guests during issues.
• Overnight shifts including weekends/holidays availability.
• Stand for extended periods.

Responsabilités

• Complete nightly audit procedures, balancing and reconciling hotel revenue, payments, and guest accounts.
• Run, review, and verify daily financial reports (room charges, revenue summaries, postings).
• Review and verify daily room charges, taxes, and transactions for accuracy.
• Prepare and distribute daily financial reports and night audit documentation.
• Identify and report discrepancies or posting errors for correction.
• Process end-of-day in Opera Cloud and other hotel systems.
• Review reservations, cancellations, and no-shows; document activity accordingly.
• Handle cash, credit card, and direct-bill transactions per procedures.
• Greet, register, and assist guests during check-ins and check-outs.
• Answer calls, respond to requests, and resolve guest concerns promptly.
• Provide information on hotel services and local recommendations.
• Maintain accurate financial records for management review.
• Communicate overnight concerns and tasks via shift reports.
