Job summary

Highgate Hotels is seeking a Night Auditor in New Jersey to reconcile cashier transactions, review management reports, and ensure accurate guest billing and city ledger processing.

The role includes check-in/check-out duties, switchboard operations, and reservations, with an emphasis on data accuracy and guest service. Evening/nights shifts are required, with opportunities to cross-train in related hotel accounting areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
• Guest Service Experience preferred.
• Computer knowledge/skills required.
• Must be able to work Late/Overnight shift.
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Effective verbal and written communication with employees and guests.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile hotel cashier transactions and review management reports.
• Handle check-in/check-out, reservations, and switchboard duties.
• Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
• Prepare Daily Operating Reports and month-end reports.
• Input and update financial information into corporate systems.
• Maintain accuracy of all numbers reported and ensure guest satisfaction.
• Respond to governmental inquiries and guest requests.
• Cross-train in other accounting or hotel-related areas.
