Job summary

Highgate Hotels in New Jersey is seeking a Night Auditor responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions, reviewing and compiling management reports on a timely basis, and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions. This role requires basic arithmetic, prioritization to meet deadlines, and willingness to cross-train in other hotel-related areas.

You will perform guest services duties during check-in/check-out, handle reservations, and maintain confidentiality

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or one year of progressive experience in a hotel or related field.
• Guest Service Experience preferred.
• Computer knowledge/skills required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Late/Overnight shift
• Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written, with all level of employees and guests.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile all hotel cashier transactions and ensure accuracy of guest billings and city ledger.
• Review, organize and compile management reports on a timely basis.
• Communicate concerns to management and perform guest service duties as required.
• Check-in/check-out, switchboard operation and reservations as needed.
• Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
• Prepare and distribute daily and month-end reports.
• Maintain confidentiality and handle guest requests professionally.
