Qualifications

• Education requirement listed as high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Operate and inspect overhead conductors, fixtures and related equipment.
• Live within 45 minutes of Bluefield VA Service Center or relocate at own expense.
• Follow safety rules, report hazards and abnormal conditions.
• Assist with setting poles in energized areas using proper procedures.
• Climb poles and structures from bucket trucks or ladders during work.
• Move tools and equipment to work locations as needed.
• Support crew by supplying tools to workers aloft.
• Perform similar or less skilled work as required.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and records.

Education

High school graduate or GED

Line work experience or line school education preferred
