American Electric Power (AEP) in Canton, Ohio is seeking a Line Mechanic D to assist with installation, maintenance, and inspection of overhead and underground facilities under supervision. You will handle poles, towers, conductors, and related equipment, and perform ground person duties as required.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and a CDL beginner permit within 60 days; relocation within 30 miles of Canton South Service Center is expected.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience required; line work preferred.
• Must have a valid state driver's license and obtain CDL beginner permit within 60 days.
• Willing to relocate within 30 miles of Canton South Service Center.
• Must pass HireVue assessment and physical abilities test.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with installation, maintenance, removal and inspection of overhead and underground facilities.
• Demonstrate ground person duties under supervision and assist with loading, unloading and rigging as needed.
• Splice wires and assemble line material; operate equipment after progression milestones.
• Inspect tools, equipment and work area; maintain records and reports as required.
• Report irregularities and maintain safety around energized equipment.
