Job summary

Pike Electric LLC in Alabama is seeking a Groundman to support our electrical distribution work. You will assist the crew in building, repairing and maintaining overhead lines, reporting to the Foreman and prioritizing safety.

Ideal candidates hold a valid driver’s license, are willing to travel long distances, can lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in all conditions, including outages and emergencies. Pike offers a safety‑driven culture, competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, outages, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, repairing and maintaining overhead distribution systems.
• Help install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, wind, and inclement weather.
