Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to support the construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew under the Foreman, working outdoors and in varying weather conditions to ensure safe, high-quality work.

The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, traveling for assignments, and being part of on-call rotations for outages and emergencies, with strict adherence to PPE and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License; ability to obtain CDL within 60 days
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds
• Willing to work out-of-state assignments
• Work outside normal hours, including weekends and overtime
• Follow safety protocols including PPE use

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction and maintenance of overhead distribution systems
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and hardware
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Participate in outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotation
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements
• Inspect PPE and understand proper usage
• Perform rigorous physical labor
