Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to support the team in building, repairing and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems. You will work under the Foreman on a variety of field tasks and must prioritize safety and reliability.

The role requires outdoor work, lifting up to 50 pounds, and willingness to travel to out-of-town locations with on-call rotations, including outages and emergencies. Growth is encouraged within a safety-driven team.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and able to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended periods at out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside of normal business hours, including weekends and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Assist building, repairing and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and conditions.
• Available for outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotation.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE procedures.
• Inspect PPE and rubber goods.
• Understand when to wear PPE.
• Perform rigorous physical labor.
