Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a safety‑driven Class A Lineman to construct, repair and maintain overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized lines, travel to multiple job sites, and report to the Foreman.

The role requires leadership, mentoring apprentices, and performing live‑line work with proper PPE and techniques. Must have five years of overhead line experience, a valid CDL, and willingness to travel long distances; ability to lift 50 pounds and work long hours, including

Qualifications

• Five years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in absence of Employee in Charge; conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and at heights.
• Respond to outages, storms, emergencies including on-call rotations.
• Perform live-line work using approved techniques.
