Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. This role involves working on energized and de-energized lines, traveling to job sites as needed, and reporting to the Foreman.

Responsibilities include leading crews in absence of the Employee in Charge, training apprentices, and operating bucket trucks and related equipment while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends, holidays, and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in absence of supervisor and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Operate bucket trucks and other overhead line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Respond to outages, storms, emergencies, and on-call rotations.
