Job summary

Pike Corporation is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct, maintain, and repair energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems. You will travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, and report to the Foreman.

Safety is emphasized as you work with bucket trucks, poles, and related hardware. Responsibilities include leading crews in the absence of supervision, training apprentices, and performing live-line work with proper PPE.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of overhead line experience required.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, weekends, and on-call emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew in absence of supervisor and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Follow switching, grounding, and voltage safety procedures with proper PPE.
• Climb structures and operate bucket trucks and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varied weather and stay available for outages and emergencies.
