Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Class A Lineman to safely construct and repair overhead distribution systems. You will work on energized lines and may travel to different job sites, including out-of-state locations, reporting to the Foreman.

You will lead crews when needed, train apprentices, and perform live-line work with proper PPE. Expect outdoor work in varying conditions and possible outages or emergencies.

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work extended hours, weekends and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Construct, repair, and maintain overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew members in absence of supervisor and conduct safety briefings.
• Train apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, and hardware.
• Perform live-line work using gloves and hot-sticks techniques and troubleshoot faults.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
