Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution A Lineperson to install and repair overhead distribution and transmission systems, including poles, cables and associated equipment. The role also covers underground work and equipment maintenance.

The job requires climbing, operating heavy equipment, and willingness to travel for storm emergencies. A valid CDL and driver’s license are preferred or obtainable within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of heavy equipment and ability to operate safely.
• Ability to problem solve with unidentified circumstances on any job.
• Experience working with energized high voltage systems.
• Must climb different structures and possess climbing tools.
• Identify, operate and service all required tools and equipment listed.

Responsibilities

• Setting of poles and anchors; stringing overhead wire.
• Installing transformers, arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches.
• Performing new construction, maintenance or repair on energized/de-energized lines with safety rules.
• Troubleshooting primary and secondary system issues.
• Replacing fuses and clearing faulted circuits.
• Daily testing and inspection of tools and equipment for safety.
• Report injuries or safety concerns to Foreperson.
• Other duties related to overhead power installation.
• All other duties as requested by Supervisors.
