Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Foreman for on-site work in Kentucky. You will lead crews in fiber/electrical line work, ensuring safety and productivity on distribution projects.

Responsibilities include daily briefings, field supervision, and coordination with customers while maintaining high safety standards in all weather conditions. Valid CDL-A and OSHA 10 are required or pursued within 60 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Three to Four (3-4) years of experience or equivalent hours and/or education/training.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver License is required.
• Must obtain a Clean Class A CDL with Medical Examiner’s Card.
• Be willing to work overtime and storm work.
• Crews can work 40-60 hours per week.
• Candidates must pass criminal and MVR background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Complete OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Foremen will conduct daily job briefings and ensure crew readiness for hazards.
• Ensure safety of crew and supervise installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground lines and equipment.
• Promote harmony among crew, customers, and the public.
• Conduct pre-job meetings and job safety analyses; verify materials and manpower.
• Demonstrate knowledge of fiber/electrical line work and safety practices.
• Read meters and accurately record data from meter dials.
• Operate service truck and perform required repairs and installations.
• Digs holes, sets poles, strings wire, and installs distribution equipment.
• Climb poles and perform repairs; work in diverse weather conditions.
• Report accidents promptly and comply with safety standards.
