Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC (5 Star) is seeking an Overhead Distribution Foreman to lead crews in the installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead electric distribution and service lines. The role requires working with high-voltage equipment, enforcing safety standards, and coordinating field operations under the direction of the general foreman.

Candidates should have a High School diploma, 3–4 years of related experience, and the ability to obtain a valid Class A CDL and OSHA 10.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
3–4 years of related experience or equivalent hours/education.
Ability to obtain a valid State of Residence Driver License and a Class A CDL.
Willingness to work overtime and storm duty; travel as needed.
Must pass background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
Completion of OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

Lead daily briefings and ensure crew readiness for hazards.
Ensure crew safety and field supervision of installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground lines.
Maintain harmony with customers and the public.
Coordinate material, equipment, and manpower; conduct pre-job safety analyses.
Read and record data from meter dials; operate service trucks.
Perform pole changes, reconductor work, and fiber/electrical line tasks.
Climb poles, work in various weather conditions, and travel as required.
